This Privacy Policy is applicable to ATIS Elevator Inspections, LLC (the “Company”) and this website (atis.com) and sets out our policy on the gathering and use of information on this site and our other sites (collectively “Sites”). The Company is committed to providing safe websites for all visitors and has implemented this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. Users from Canada should review the “Personal Information from Canada” section for compliance with Canadian Federal and Provincial privacy laws and regulations including the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act, and further complies with data management retention policies as required by regulation.

There may be links from our Sites to other web sites operated and managed by third-party vendors and operators; note that this Privacy Policy applies only to information we collect on our Sites, in email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Sites, and does not apply to websites of other companies or organizations to which our Sites may be linked to (including advertising) or information collected by the Company offline or through other means. You must check on any linked sites for the privacy policy that applies to that site and/or make any necessary inquiries in respect of that privacy policy with the operator of the linked site. Although you are not required to register an account to access our Sites, you may be optionally asked to provide us with personal information when you visit certain sections of our Sites (such as use of our E2M portal and our contact form).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.  Your use of our Sites signifies your acknowledgement and consent to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not continue to use our Sites. Your continued use of the Sites signifies your acceptance of these terms and any changes in effect at the time of use.  This Privacy Policy may change from time to time (see Policy Change). Your continued use of the Sites after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
 

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal Information is information about you that identifies you directly as an individual, for example, your name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number (“personal information”).

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us through various form responses (direct collection or online submission). We may also ask you to provide additional information such as your e-mail address if you want to obtain additional services, information, participate in a contest or to resolve complaints or concerns.

Non-personally identifiable information may also be collected (such as IP addresses, browser type, usage patterns, links clicked, etc.) and are stored in an aggregated and obfuscated format. Information collected in this manner does not allow the Company to directly identify any individual.

PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM CANADA

The Company operates in Canada and has Canadian customers, which results in the collection and processing of Canadian citizens’ and residents’ personal information in the same ways as described above from other jurisdictions, including that of our contractors, vendors, customers and consumers. The Company takes seriously its obligations to protect such personal information and to comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) and PIPEDA’s Principles of Fair Information Practices, subject to the oversight of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Canadian individuals with questions or complaints regarding the collection, processing and transfer of their personal information in compliance with PIPEDA should first contact the Company at dataprivacy@atis.com.

The Company will promptly investigate and respond, and will attempt to resolve complaints, disputes and requests to revoke consent regarding collection, processing, transfer and disclosure of personal data in accordance with the principles contained in this Privacy Policy Notice, and the Principles of Fair Information Practices.

Any questions or concerns regarding handling of personal information under Canada’s PIPEDA, or related to revocation of consent to collect, process, transfer, or disclose their personal information should be directed by email to dataprivacy@atis.com.

All communications to the Company should include the individual’s name and contact information (such as e-mail address, phone number, or mailing address), and a detailed explanation of the request. E-mail requests to delete, amend, or correct personal information should include “Deletion Request” or “Amendment/Correction Request,” as applicable, in the subject line of the e-mail. The Company will endeavor to respond to all reasonable requests in a timely manner and, in any case, within any time limits prescribed by applicable local law.

HOW DOES COMPANY USE INFORMATION GATHERED ABOUT ONLINE VISITORS?

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:
  • To present the Sites and their contents to you.
  • To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.

  • Promotional Offers from the Company.  If you do not wish to have your contact information used by the Company to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can opt-out out of 3rd party advertising/ATIS promotional offers by completing our Contact Us form. Alternatively, you may choose to email our ATIS Privacy Team at dataprivacy@atis.com. This opt-out does not apply to information provided to the Company as a result of a product purchase, warranty registration, product service experience or other transactions.

You may still receive mandatory information such as service changes that affect your use of our Sites and other critical information that we are legally required to send you.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if you give us an email address to use the "email a friend" feature of our website, we will transmit the contents of that email and your email address to the recipients.

COOKIES

The Company, in common with many web site operators, may use standard technology called “cookies” on its Sites. Cookies are small data files and identifiers that are stored onto your computer by your browser when you visit a particular web site. You can disable cookies by turning them off in your browser; however, some areas of the Sites may not function properly if you do so. We have made great effort to minimize the impact of not being able to store cookies to allow you to continue to use our website in the event you had them turned off.  

Google ReCaptcha and Google Analytics

The site uses Google ReCaptcha to prevent fraudulent and automated form submissions on our website. We also use Google Analytics to collect non-personally identifiable information about the visitors of our sites as described in this Privacy Policy. PROTECTION OF CHILDREN ONLINE

The Company considers the protection of children’s privacy, especially online, to be of the utmost importance.  Our Sites is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any personal information to or on the Sites.  If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on the Sites.  We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children, nor do we allow them to become registered users of, or to request information through, our Sites or help-seeking information lines.  If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
