Stephen Maracle

As an elevating device mechanic, senior vertical transportation consultant, Stephen Maracle has 34+ years of experience in the elevating device industry. He has consulted on numerous transit design projects and managed maintenance contracts in values ranging up to $13M. His managerial experience includes:

• Staff supervision and management (Union & Non-Union)

• Modernization project supervision and management

• Maintenance program supervision and management

• Apprenticeship program supervision and management

Prior to joining KJA, Stephen spent 31 years working for the Toronto Transit Commission “TTC”. During that time, he developed and implemented maintenance programs for the fleet of 135 elevators and 345 escalators. Stephen held the role of Service and maintenance manager of 900+ elevating devices for Selco Elevators Ltd.

During his career at the TTC, Stephen was an active member of 13 years on the field advisory committee for the Technical Standards and Safety Authority. He successfully managed the commissioning of two major subway line extensions, Sheppard line and TYSSE line. Stephen brings to the team extensive hands-on experience in the maintenance and construction of elevating devices and specifically transit system projects. Stephen has worked successfully with major ED contractors in Ontario to ensure contractual obligations were met.
