Mike Derkach

As an engineering technologist and senior vertical transportation consultant, Mike Derkach is currently involved in all aspects of KJA’s regional operations. He has consulted on many projects and is also strategically involved in various national programs for major national real estate and property management firms. His managerial experience includes:

• new construction and modernization project supervision and management

• maintenance management program supervision

• business development and financial management

• account management and client relations

Mike has over 32 years of trade experience working in various sales and management roles for two of the four multi-national elevators companies prior to joining KJA in 2015.

In addition to a distinguished list of completed projects, Mike is the lead VT consultant on several major active projects, including some of the largest projects in the Edmonton area, including the ICE District Block BG, Edmonton Motors, 12010 Jasper Avenue, Clifton Place, Edmonton City Centre Redevelopment, Edmonton Convention Centre Redevelopment, Commerce Place and the First & Jasper modernization.

He is also the lead consultant on the management and implementation of our e2m Quality Assurance services program with clients such as Oxford, Cushman & Wakefield, Ivanhoe Cambridge, EPIC, Edmonton City Centre, First Capital Realty and Allied Properties. Mike has inspected hundreds of elevating devices in the Northern Alberta region.
