The first eight years of Adrian Schneider’s career was spent with ABB/Alstom as a Field Engineer and Technical Support Engineer in the electric power plant division. In 2007, he joined Garaventa Lift, one of the largest international accessibility lift manufacturers, where he held various positions including Technical Support Engineer, Project Manager and Commercial Sales Consultant for Elevators and Lifts. Since 2014, Adrian has managed the West region of Canada for KJA and is currently involved in all aspects of KJA’s operations. In this role he oversees:
Project management and coordination of accessibility lift, dumbwaiter, residential and LU/LA elevator new installations
Supervision and management of escalator and elevator refurbishment, modernization and new construction projects
Maintenance management program implementation and supervision
Procurement assistance and contract negotiations
Account management and client relations
Business development and financial management
Adrian has consulted on a variety of multi-million-dollar projects and is also involved in the oversight of national programs and accounts for major real estate and property management firms operating within British Columbia involving both procurement, and major projects. He has years of experience in maintenance management of large retail and office portfolios with up to 65 devices per site. While also managing numerous successful elevator and escalator refurbishment and modernization projects. Throughout the process he has inspected hundreds of escalators of various makes and models dating from the 1960’s up to current models and has a comprehensive expertise in the refurbishment, replacement, and review of escalator equipment.
Adrian is currently a member of the CSA B355 Technical Committee and the manager of the British Columbia Office.
