Executive Leadership Announcements

Charlie Slater

Erin Scott

As we kick off 2024, we have some exciting leadership announcements. Effective January 1, 2024, Charlie Salter has transitioned to Executive Vice President, with a primary focus on key strategic growth initiatives and industry relations.

Prior to joining our team in 2014, Charlie served as the President of A-1 Elevator Inspections, where he made significant contributions to the company's growth until its eventual sale to ATIS. Charlie's 25-year career in various roles within the elevator industry has provided him with firsthand knowledge and practical insights into the industry, code development, and regulatory trends on an international level.  Charlie has been instrumental in establishing the strong foundation upon which we stand today, and his dedication and commitment to our industry has made him one of the most credible resources within the ASME Code Committees and NAESA International.

Charlie will leverage his extensive experience and deep understanding of the elevator industry to represent ATIS as our clients and strategic partners’ trusted advisor and advocate on jurisdictional development matters and industry code. We couldn’t be more pleased to now have the team in place for him to shift his focus from operations to these more strategic initiatives.

We are also excited to announce the promotion of Erin Scott to the position of Chief Operating Officer – US Inspections effective January 1, 2024, replacing Charlie in that role. Since joining ATIS in September as our Senior Vice President of Inspection Operations, Erin has consistently demonstrated her commitment to our values and has played a pivotal role in aligning and focusing our teams, which will further cement our position as the preferred employer and vendor of choice in vertical transportation inspections. Prior to joining ATIS, Erin had held various leadership roles at Otis Elevator, in addition to her distinguished career in the United States Navy as a Naval Aviator and Aviation Maintenance Duty Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aviation Maintenance from Auburn University.

Erin’s extensive industry knowledge, leadership capabilities and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction are all facets that provide overwhelming confidence that she will continue to advance our company’s success in this critical leadership position.

Please join us in congratulating Erin and Charlie on their new positions as we look forward to a successful 2024!
