Bruno Lombardi

As KJA’s resident escalator expert Bruno Lombardi contributes over 32 years of experience in the industry and the physical proficiency as a millwright to dismantle, disassemble, reconstruct and rebuild. Bruno has trained a number of apprentices in all aspects of the escalator industry, held a teaching position at Safety Scope, training facility in Vaughan for continuing education in the elevating devices industry and also led a service crew in the rebuilding of the escalators on the TTC Sheppard line. His managerial experience includes:

• New construction and modernization
  project supervision and management

• Maintenance management program supervision

Bruno’s 32 year tenure in the business was spent mostly with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). Having worked with the TTC’s maintenance and modernization departments maintaining and repairing all types of equipment from Otis, Montgomery-Kone, ThyssenKrupp escalators, Schindler, Hitachi, Gold Star and Turnbull. Additionally work extended into other equipment such as moving walkways and dumbwaiters.  Maintenance scope ranged from pump, fan and louver repairs to stripping escalators down to the frame and major overhauls.
