Alex Laliberte

Mr. Laliberte is a Certified Elevator Inspector (CEI) and an Elevating Devices Mechanic – Class F (EDM-F) with over 15 years of experience as a vertical transportation consultant. Mr. Laliberte is responsible for overseeing operations in the National Capital Region as well as Canada’s East Coast. He has extensive experience in performing vertical transportation safety inspections, maintenance audits and condition assessments. Mr. Laliberte has also played an integral role in several large-scale public and private sector modernization, new construction and rehabilitation projects.

 Technical experience includes:

• design development for modernization and new construction projects

• construction, modernization and maintenance specification development

• technical data for coordination between other trades

• procurement assistance and contract negotiation

• technical audits and acceptance inspections

• insurance claim reviews and technical evaluations

• commissioning plans and inspections

Managerial experience includes:

• new construction and modernization project supervision and management

• maintenance management program supervision

• business development and financial management

• account management and client relations

• technical training for associates

Mr. Laliberte has performed thousands of audits and inspections of vertical transportation devices in Ontario and across Canada. Most notably, he conducted annual safety inspections for the Federal Government at such distinguished buildings such as Parliament Hill, The Supreme Court of Canada, Wellington Building, Langevin Building, The Experimental Farm and Rideau Hall. He has also played a significant role in overseeing procurement, maintenance management and inspections for numerous major private sector clients, including Colliers, Cadillac Fairview, GWL Realty Advisors, Homestead Land Holdings, CLV Group, Morguard, and Colonnade BridgePort.

Through the years, Mr. Laliberte has been involved in countless modernization, new development and rehabilitation projects in Ontario and across Canada including major Federal and Provincial Government rehabilitation projects. This includes notable projects such as the Ottawa LRT Confederation Line Extension Phase II, Maison Riverain, DND Headquarters relocation and rehabilitation project Phase I-IV, ZIBI Ottawa development, The Ottawa Hospital, Wellington Building rehabilitation, Confederation Building rehabilitation, Place du Portage Phase III rehabilitation and The Supreme Court of Canada modernization.
