Case Study: $35,000 Saved on Oil Testing

Our client was informed by their elevator maintenance company that the oil in their hydraulic elevators was contaminated and required changing. The maintenance company gave them a Service and Repair Order to change the oil in the hydraulic elevator lines and power units for 4 elevator cars. The cost was quoted at $35,000, and with an option to have the old hydraulic fluid removed for $2,500 a unit - reaching a grand total of $45,000.

Then they contacted ATIS.

We ran a simple oil test and analysis. The lab results showed that every single metric and measurement of the oil’s properties were within the safe and expected ranges, meaning that it was fit for further use and did not require changing.

Our client avoided an unnecessary expense of thousands of dollars.

If you are even considering having your elevators’ oil changed, let us test it first.
