ATIS Elevator Inspections, a subsidiary of American Testing & Inspection Services, is pleased to announce it has acquired Palmetto Safety Inspections, LLC.
Founded in 2011 by Jerry Butler, former Chief Elevator Inspector for South Carolina, Palmetto Safety Inspections provides inspection services for elevators, escalators, moving walks, lifts and other means of mechanized conveyances throughout the southeast. Butler, who has joined ATIS Elevator Inspections as Vice President, started his elevator career in 1976 and became a certified elevator inspector with NAESA in 1984.
“This is ATIS’s first acquisition and it marks a significant milestone in our growth strategy,” said J.A. Marchack, President of ATIS Elevator Inspections. “In addition to expanding our geographic footprint, this transaction adds significant expertise to our team and allows us to continue improving upon our best-in-class services.”
ATIS was founded in late 2012 and has grown to over thirty-five employees. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, the company is currently performing safety inspection and test witnessing services in more than fifteen states. With plans to significantly expand its geographic footprint, ATIS is seeking to hire qualified candidates and make select acquisitions throughout the country.
